About Orthodontics - For Children
We support the recommendation of the American Association of Orthodontists which encourages children to have their first orthodontic exam around age 7. This early exam and subsequent recall visits allow us to identify potential problems that may respond to early treatment and preventive measures. Your child's treatment may start at an early age that takes advantage of the child's growth or may start during adolescence once permanent teeth are in place. In either case, our goal is to achieve facial balance and harmony between teeth and jaws for a lifetime of healthy smiles.
Our aim is simply to provide children with the highest quality orthodontic care available in a professional and personal manner.
Our doctor and staff participate in ongoing continuing education courses in order to provide you with the latest technology in orthodontic care. Our state-of-the-art sterilization techniques ensure a level of safety that exceeds all standards. Additionally, our office is relaxed and friendly, and we work hard to ensure your child's comfort at every visit.
We know that having a bit of fun along the way keeps a child engaged in treatment. In focusing on fun, we invite our patients to participate in our monthly contests. They can answer trivia questions, send in photos of themselves wearing our orthodontic logo t-shirts while on vacations, enter our pumpkin decorating contest, and submit drawing about dental health.
But while our focus is on fun, our concern for kids goes beyond our office. Our entire team engages in many service projects that support the kids in our community. We also visit a number of schools annually for presentations on dental health, orthodontic care and careers in dentistry. |
